As I noticed that the LUSU website links to this blog I thought I should put a link to the facebook page so that people can visit that and join it if they are interested in the society!

Brand New Blog
Hi,
and welcome to the brand new blog of Lancaster Universities Oxfam Society!
Its been a brilliant year so far! We became an official soicety at the University in November 2010 and since then have done so much!
We've had a training session about political lobbying with Diane from the Manchester Office on what it is and the basics of how to lobby your local MP.
We then had the spectacular fashion show for International Women's Day done with the help of the Fashion Society at Lancaster. We raised £600 for International Women's Day and celebrated all things brilliant about girls!
We've also had a few market stalls and the HUNDREDS of petitions we managed to get signed for the Robin Hood Tax at Lancaster's Campus Festival were we really pushed the idea (in our Robin Hood Hats of course!)
Now we are getting ready for a new year, and getting ready for freshers fair and for the new Grow Campaign events we will be starting in October. All ready really excited!
Hope to see some people at the freshers fair!
